EXP 2 WEEK 2 - Parallel Projections/ Crysis

PARALLEL PROECTIONS

I have created 3 sets of parallel projections, which explore the interconnection between the first pair of axonometric drawings i did. Each pair represents 2 concepts, 1 from each artist, and they are listed below.

1. Fluidity + Geometrical

Fluidity: Fluid & organic, movements in freeform spaces
Geometrical: Special arrangements of shapes
__________________________________________________________________________________

2. Elemental + Carving out spaces

Elemental: Combining different elements to produce specific architecture
Carving out Spaces: Creating spaces through voids & extrusions

__________________________________________________________________________________

3. Reductive + Additive

Reductive: Work is reductive, spaces are formed out of predefined geometry & spaces
Additive: adding something to nothing

EXP 2 WEEK 1 - CryEngine Environment / Importing Models

CRYENGINE ENVIRONMENT

This is the Initial Environment i Created.

GOOGLE SKETCHUP

I Created the models in Google Sketchup, and they are presented below.

1.       Geometrical – special arrangements of shapes

2.       Additive – adding something to nothing

CRY ENGINE 3

I then created a terrain in Cry Engine 3, and imported these models, trying to make them adapt with the landscape. This is the best outcome i had, after using Cry Engine for the first time.

Group Work - Concepts

GROUP CONCEPTS

Zaha Hadid:
1. Fluidity and Movement in freeform spaces
2. Creating infinite freedom through deconstructing conventional ideologies
3. Carving out spaces
Richard Neutra:
1. Contextual; Creating special interaction between landscape and architecture
2. Modernism; Decoration through structural elements
3. Geometric; special arrangement
4. Fordist; Use of technology and mass production to create industrialised spaces that for fill a domestic purpose
5. Elemental; Combining different elements to produce specific architecture
6. Additive; adding something to nothing
